I am so excited about our turn out this week
Thanks to everyone who posted
Keep up the good work !!!
Getting todays thread started but haven't walked yet we have some nasty nasty weather coming out way they say it is the same storm that has caused so much damage
I am so proud of all of you!!! I am getting ready to teach my body sculpting class today. Don't forget to add some strength training and ab work(I hate doing abs). Do not worry about the scale a pound of fat and a pound of muscle is still a pound. Muscle takes up less room. Thats why the scale may not change alot but those jeans feel better. Keep on moving and staying healthy!!!!

We got a few inches of snow overnight, and it's still coming in pretty strong, so I skipped out today.
Here's my routine: I get up at 5:00, do all the morning stuff, and head off to the gym at 6:10. It takes about 10 minutes to get there, and I go into the weight area where I do about 25 minutes worth (depends on which routine I choose that day - upper body or lower). Then I head down to the cardio area and walk on the treadmill for 35 minutes. I walk at 3.7 MPH for 4 minutes, then notch it up to 4 for a minute. I just started that about 2 weeks ago, and it seems to have helped me start losing weight. I try to do this four times a week.

Thanks. I'd like to try to do that, but my time is restricted - have to get to work, ya know! How about if I increase the 4.0 from 1 minute to 1.5 or 2? Think that would help? I know what would help me more - if I could be more disciplined in what and how often I eat. I confess to being an emotional eater. Granted, I only have about 15-20 lbs. to lose, but still.... And I work in a very frustrating position (customer service). She says with a mouthful of baked triscuits.....

Any thoughts?
Do you walk at an incline? That makes your heart work harder, so it might help with a tougher cardio workout, without increasing time.
Finally a sunny day with temps in the 40s. Very very windy though.
Sorry to hear about those of you who are getting the storms.
Speaking of storms, does everyone have a "plan b" for inclement weather?
As mentioned yesterday, I can ride my bike indoors on the trainer when needed. I also have a ~30 minute yoga routine that I "finish" with some light weight and ab work.
