benjh0329, the real answer is all of the above, and more. For the millions who live in the DFW area you'll find some who use screendoors and some who do not, and might be a year round option, depending on preferences. And HOA's.

And your market would be all of north Texas, not just DFW. However, your competition will be Home Depot and the like. Everywhere. Check out the Home Depot selection for the Dallas to determine local cost for type of door. If Home Depot is going to sell them then you can sell them. Profit margin will be your key.

Actually the average number of 100+ degree days in DFW is 16, but twice since we moved here the total has been above 40 (2000 & 2006). In fact, the first 100 degree day in '06 was April 17 - the freakin' day after Easter.

I think the workable reality for the OP is that no one knows, from one year to the next, how hot or cold it's going to be for which or how many days, or how severe allergies may be from one part of town to another, on any given day.

Of course, as with all things reality, your experiences may vary.
