I just had Torchy's for the first time, and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend it. Indulge yourself, get the nookies, love life.

However when it comes to Tacos, I'm obligated to bring up Fuel City. Best. Tacos. Period.

$1.40 * 3 (pastor, fajita, barbacoa) and live the rest of your day in pure bliss.

Fuel city are pretty good but they are tiny. And they are authentic mexican tacos not texmex like fuzzys. I prefer the texmex kind usually.

Taco Joint has two good veg tacos - I get the one with sauteed veg; I think it's called the Sophie. FYI - the beans at Taco Joint are also veg (you know how that's a problem in most places).

I hear the fried avocado taco at Torchy's is great. Haven't been yet, but hope to soon!!

That's okay, Dave. I was going to call your tacos Gringo-Mex rather than Tex-Mex.

Duh.. you just eat more of them!

I grew up 20 minutes from the border. I can't imagine preferring Fuzzy's to a Fuel City taco. That's OK, to each their own. More tacos for me!

Los Pinos Taqueria (next to Amigo's in east Richardson) also makes some very fine "real" tacos.

I too prefer the authentic tacos. The "tex-mex" joints get a little carried away with all the fillers for my tastes. I will be trying this place out next.

I'm in Los Angeles for work. We went to a mall today with a place called Pink Taco.

I giggled like a little kid!!!
