Does anyone know when the new Wal-Mart and JC Penney will be finished at the new Timbercreek Crossing shopping Center? Also, does anyone know what other businesses are planning to open there? Thanks!!!

There will be a Sam's Club along with the Walmart. The Sam's on Park will close. I asked when they would be going in there a few months ago, it seems it was sooner than I thought but I can't remember exactly so I'm no help there.

Sounds like it will be really good for the area...definitely better than the nasty apartments it is replacing!

I lived in those apartments during the early 80's. I have fond memories of them although it was time for them to go. The difference between the scenery south of Northwest Hwy and north of it is shocking.

Times have changed since the 80s, man...a lot of those apartment complexes are really bringing the area down.

I just wish it could have been done without making it a crime against mother nature. The nearby former Steakley Chevrolet site is also up for sale for that kind of development.
