I will be planting my feet in Desoto in May, I have alot of IT background sometimes work on computers on the side. Who are the best places to look at for me with a security clearance?

Are there places to stay away from in this regard?

Thanks in advance.

"IT background" is pretty generic - what's your specialty?

but don't think in DeSoto area itself there are lot of hi-tech companies
could be wrong
why are you going to De Soto vs other areas of DFW

Welcome,
There are some networking jobs within Richardson, Plano, Frisco, and North Dallas.
There are some networking jobs listed under Craigslist.
Since you have Certifications, you may want search and list your resume on dice.com, monster.com,
indeed.com or even careerbuilder.com.
There is a large number of recruiters within the metro who post jobs looking for people with certifications and
a networking background, help desk or NOC.
The government sub-contractor jobs may require the active security clearance.

Good Luck

What level of Cisco cert, how many years of Cisco experience, what models are you most familiar with and any networking experience other than Cisco (Juniper, Force10, etc, etc)?

I ask because we're hiring in Richardson.

Brian
