Just came to know about the nice summer camps at the GreenHill School, Addision. The details they have published online is very impressive and they looks to have an array of activities to choose from is just mind boggling.. A 63 page document published online just for a summer camp is not what every body else do.

However, wanted to get feedback from others who have first hand experience. I was more interested in Sports Camps for my 7 year old daughter. How is their All sports camps which goes for full day? Is that too tiring for kids or they can manage? How are there coach? Do they have indoor sports facility? Is it worth to the money?

I'm an employee of Summer on the Hill so I'm not the most neutral, but they kids all seem to love it. A lot of the coaching is high school and college kids, but the sports staff also are involved.

There are impressive indoor sports facilities, but the kids don't use a lot of them. There are several gyms, a very nice, though small weight room, and a natatorium that just about every camp swims in a couple days a week to get out of the sun. If by "indoor sports facility" you mean "Field Turf monstrosity like they have in Southlake," then no, Greenhill does not have one of those.

My son attended a summer class called "Get Ready for 1st Grade" at Greenhill and it was really really good. The lead teacher (now passed) was brilliant. She could tell me more about my son after 2 classes than any other teacher ever had and what I needed to do to help him because school wasn't clicking for him. It was also an opportunity for me to see what a good effective classroom looked like - it was like 12 kids, 2 teachers who moved seamlessly from one to another - back and forth - they constantly moved around the classroom interacting with the kids and keeping their attention. I was literally blown away. I did see there was a sports camp too. Actually there was a lot going on all over campus. It was well run.
