AFAIK, Richardson addresses in Collin County are zoned to Plano schools, and Richardson addresses in Dallas County are zoned to Richardson schools.

Yes, that is correct. We currently live in a Zip Code in Richardson where part is in Dallas County and part is in Collin County. So further east or north in this zip code we would be in PISD. DH doesn't want to be further from Coppell, so we are looking further west.
