Two of them are really old, the other two were built in the 80s.
Might ATT be the ones building the corporate campus in the old Reunion Arena area?

An AT&T version of the State Farm project at this location would be exciting.

If AT&T does decide to build new in Dallas someday, there's a strong possibility they would be part of a DT high-rise development. In almost every city they've had (or have) a large presence, they've occupied a signature tower in the DT area. This includes, NYC, Chicago, St Louis, Nashville, LA and Atlanta.

Boo. Another tower in downtown wouldn't make a dent. Now, a corporate campus like what Fort Worth has been building would be very visible from the freeway while creating for DART light rail much needed passengership.

Downtown highrises are so much more efficient in their use of land. And keeping a high-profile name like AT&T downtown makes sense where there's already so much concentrated infrastructure. I'd rather see suburban land used for more parks, etc instead of sprawling corporate campuses.

The central core of Dallas is fast converting itself into an area more indicative of a suburb. There are vast areas of land within the inner city on all sides of downtown which helps in keeping the price of real estate down. And it is well connected to boot.

A corporate campus? Like what Exxon is doing in the Woodlands? Pass on that. I hate what Exxon is doing. Build a scraper in downtown and make it unique and bold. It would definitely make a dent then.

Not that I have any idea what AT&T would plan, but I would think that if they're going to construct anything near downtown then it would be on the south side, near their current buildings. There's plenty of room, parking lots, and derelict buildings suitable to give way.

I agree. Suburban corporate campuses are giant wastes of good land, surrounded by seas of asphalt. I thought we learned a while ago that they aren't a good idea, but it seems the business culture here in Texas is always years behind the curve.

I wonder how insanely cool the Dallas skyline would look if corporations were more centralized in the downtown core instead of spread over a handful of suburbs?

Think of Texas Instruments in both Dallas and Houston. They had corporate campuses way back. indeed, a skyscraper allows simple poor people such as myself to see the building. And hardly anyone will ever see ExxonMobile's new campus.
