If that's individual income and not household income, then that's pretty solid for DFW, especially for a young family expecting their incomes to rise. Household income of $170,000 would have you in good shape in Dallas. Definitely not "money isn't an object" territory though.

I realize there are probably a lot of people on this forum making a lot more, but that's my take.

I'm surprised that Frisco is not on this list.

It's a fine place where people settle to stretch their dollar. It's not where wealthy WANT to live.

Well, the article is a bit misleading, because it says "neighborhoods" but then a lot of the choices are cities.

Frisco has large portions of the city with homes that are barely into 6 figures, whereas some of the other choices on the list, you'd have a hard time finding any homes for less than $300k or so, with an average of probably $400k+, and some choices have averages that are a million or more.

Seems like Westlake would rank higher than Southlake if money were no object. Westlake isn't even mentioned.

Plus it seems to be a poll of where the wealthy WANT to live. Not just home prices.

I found that odd as well, but it may be due to the fact that it is not as well known.

Yes, because all 100,000+ of us fit your generalizations. Plano isn't the best/only choice for everyone.
