My boyfriend and I are both young and both just got new jobs. We currently live in Arlington by UTA since we both just graduated. We are looking for a place to live and are having some problems deciding..
I am a flight attendant so I need to be somewhat close to DFW airport. He just got a job with a corporate company and works in Addison . Would love to live in Addison but the drive to dfw would just be awful... We were thinking Las colinas or Lewisville... Any suggestions on cities or apartments?
Thanks so much!

Las Colinas is a good choice. I don't know much about Addison to compare though. Las Colinas Downtown is very nice and some really nice apartment complexes with easy access to highways. Drive to airport is close to 10-15 mins and never more than 25 mins even at rush hour. If you are using cab, fare without tip is less than 30$ for Las Colinas downtown.

Las Colinas would be a great location, 10 minute drive to the airport and 20-30 minute drive to Addison! Additionally, you'll have the Dart Orange Line Airport Station opening on August 18th per the latest Dart News Release of March 25th that goes directly to the airport's Terminal A.

I would advise against Lewisville. I had to do the reverse route. The route from Lewisville to Addison would be going south on 35E and then east on George Bush or Beltline, depending on which part of Addison.

35E is very congested going south in the morning. There is a major construction project going on from Denton to 635 through mid-2017. The congestion will only get worse, as they get deeper into the project

35E Construction Website: I-35 E Dallas Construction The 35Express Project

The alternative route would be going south on Denton Tap and east on Beltline or 635. He would have a slow commute with stop lights along city streets for the entire route. If he chose 635, he would be stuck in construction. There is a major 635 choke point, when it narrows from 4 lanes to 3 lanes by 35E.

The commute from Las Colinas to Addison is easier. In the morning, he would be going north on George Bush and then east to Beltine. He would be going against the flow of traffic. He would completely avoid the 35E construction.

In Coppell on Beltline (east of MacArthur) there are 2-3 nice apartment complexes that would be great for you guys.
I stayed at the ST Marion apts while I built my last house. There are others in that area so you might drive around

Also, around Vista Ridge Mall & Hwy121 is some newer nice apartments that will be more reasonable. Still a good location.

Beltline Road from either location takes you right into Addison and it travels OK.
From Las Colinas you take Riverside which turns into Valley View and loops you right into Addison.
