I see American Legend preselling Phase7.
I also see coming soon for phase 8 on their site (I am not a fan or location - right next to highway next to target).

What ever happened to Castle hills east which seemed to have more land and better location?
Did the city disapprove the plan?

Isn't phase 7 = East? I don't think anything changed. Where is phase 8 going to be?

No is smaller phase while east was planned to be huge phase.
Phase 8 is east of Josey north of Windhaven (right next to super target)

Oh so that's what they are building over there, I thought it was going to be more apartments since there were 4 new large apartment complex just went up around that area. There's also wyndon meadows and indian hills two exit away also building right next to 121 which actually makes phase 6 location look good. So then where is this phase 7?

Phase 7 is located behind Baylor on the corner of Hebron/Josey. It also connects directly to CH and King Arthur blvd. The models are going up now. There is a lottery to get a lot.

Phase 8 is on Windhaven East of Josey next door to 24 hour fitness. The sound walls are almost up and the streets will be poured soon. I hear the models will go in this Fall.

The Easts is still in planning stages. It will be on the West side of Josey between Hebron and Windhaven. Lewsisville and Bright are still at odds over the costs of remediation and the large number of bridges that have to go in.

There are also a number of other SFH developments in the area that are in the planning stages.

Altogether about 700 lots.

I'd like to see Austin Waters have some activity. The phase across the creek looks pretty interesting. And there are some large lots left undeveloped.

Thanks TX75007 for the update.

Lottery for lots - count me out!

What is your opinion on phase 8?
I know location is not so good but does it have better schools like rest of castle hills?

I am sure eventually East will be approved after they agree on the money.

It'll most likely be zoned to The Colony ISD because Hebron is pretty full. Even if they build their own elementary I doubt it will be good since there's lots of apartment complex building up around that area. Even Castle Hills East will be zoned to The Colony ISD. It'll probably take a long time before the school improve.

Get an older existing home in the older sections. Nicer homes, bigger lots, better value.

I'd have to agree with this. There seems to be a larger inventory of homes over 450K in CH. But CH elementary is overcrowded. Most of the teachers I talk to like most of the Lewisville elementaries but stress that CH is overcrowded...

Personally, I like the location of Phase 8, and feel it will appreciate significantly and the locations of amenities is very good, but the post about the schools has to be taken into consideration. OTOH I know some HS kids who go to Colony schools and they like their schools. The influx of professional parents and their kids will greatly change the character of the schools...
