Maybe one day an Indian will move to Dallas and not think they have to be surrounded by Indians or live in the burbs.....

I have a good friend who splits time between Bombay and Dallas. He lives in University Park and his family is quite happy there!
Typically when someone mentions that they want a "place with more Indians", theyre looking to be around their own (for better or worse). There are pockets in Dallas, but not like the suburbs. Dallas has about 8,000 Indians in a city of 1.2 million. Thats roughly the same number as Richardson, Frisco, and Carrollton. Plano has about 20,000 Indians and Irving has a whopping 30,000. And of course all of those cities are much smaller than Dallas, meaning higher concentration.

Remember, there are two types of immigrants: those who move to a new place to adapt to the culture and those who want to live like they never left their home country. Your friend in University Park sounds like the former. The flip side of that coin is that Irving, north of 114, is basically India with some chain restaurants thrown in there. Most people there want to keep the same culture.

I suspect because the eastern portion has a good population of Indians. Especially where he originally looked at Clearwater Creek by Stinson.

I suppose it depends on who the OP wants to live near. Middle-class Indians making middle-class salaries and with young children in school usually shun Richardson and flee directly to Irving, Frisco, or west Plano.
