Hi Folks

I need to move to Dallas area for work. Trying to find a cool place to land there. Please help me find the right place

The houses I saw near the Soccer Stadium in North Irving area looked very close to DFW airport on the map.
I am incredibly inept at map scaling.

Wondering if anyone out there has any info they wouldn't mind sharing on the neighborhoods in that area.
Also, wondering about the possibility of annoying airplane noise being so near DFW airport.

I keep thinking of the trains in the movie "My Cousin Vinny" &
figure it's worth asking about.

Any comments/info greatly appreciated.
Thanks Thanks Thanks !!

I replied to your pm. I know that area VERY well. You will have LOTS of noise and not just from the airplanes.

I spent a fair amount of time near Naval bases a decade ago and while the noise can be quite loud, you do tend to grow acustomed to it. On occasion we did have our young children woken from naps, by overhead flights, but those were the Blue Angels. They tend to fly a LOT closer to the rooftops than your average comercial flight, unless you're directly under the approach. Being close to an airport will have a negative impact on you homes market value.

Default Noise Pollution & Industrial Areas

Thanks so much for the info !

I worked near a military airport & midsize international airport in NY, and was fascinated by the cool military planes, they literally hung in the sky right outside my window (building was 2 story) pre landing. Wicked close,
but of course, that was during the daytime, not a couple of blocks from my home.

I'm sure it is something you can become accustomed to, but thinking the commercial jets were way louder, although higher coming in.

This board is unbelievably helpful & much appreciated
