Will have ZERO affect on the thousands of people looking for homes. Maybe a small few may steer away from McKinney, but that won't matter as it is like a drop of water out of a gallon of water

Where is section 8 housing in Craig Ranch? I remember CR homeowners filing a lawsuit against that project, few years ago.

Good question. Anyone know? I assume it is where this occurred - CR North

I'm guessing that it won't impact new out of town buyers looking for a house long term, but it will definitely impact the racial harmony of that town. Hearing that racial insults were hurled at the black kids (who were not blameless either), cops targeting only the black party kids while COMPLETELY ignoring the many white kids who were also there uninvited. Yes I suspect there will be a lot of hard feelings on both sides for a long time. McKinney already has a divide...east of 75 is generally speaking black and poor while west of 75 is supposedly rich and white. This didn't help any.

Just get rid of the "bad elements" like the unruly, uninvited kids and their parents and things will be just fine.

I think this will have some minor affect in short term (2-3 years?). Lots of people are on the fence about buying within close proximity of planned section 8 housing in McKinney. This will push them over the edge.
