I like zero lot houses and think they are more private than homes with typical small yards. The neighbor's side of the house has no windows to look into your yard and there's no fence to fall down on the zero side.

it is not like those typical homes have big yards nowadays. before i bought my house (zero lot home/patio home), i went to see a couple houses at castle hill. Those yards were probably one third of my zero lot home yard. I like how private patio home is. I am happy i bought one and will consider patio home in my future home.

Do you think that many people with kids are buying these zero lot homes? I can see the appeal for young, singles and older retired people. Just curious.

Was the appreciation similar to SFH with standard lots in the areas you've sold the zero lot homes?

Absolutely, In Coppell school district! So, location is going to drive appreciation -- that plus condition of the property is the driver.

big age range for my neighbors owning zero lot home, from late 20s to 50s. personal opinion, if you want to a get zero lot home, you should pick one from some nice location/neighborhood. some zero lot homes are boring looking but some are very unique looking. Darling home builds very nice zero lot homes. they have communities in Frisco (Newman Village) and Southlake (Verandas) with zero lot homes. you can go to their website to check those out.
