Hi Munson2007... do you mean independent living? As in a senior citizen center or active adult community? What price range do you want to stay within?

Default Independent Living

I'm looking for active adult community. Pay range $500 - $850.

Thanks

Honestly, I don't think you will find anything in that price range that has an active adult community. I looked into some things for my parents last spring and I was appalled at the money needed for most of these places. However there is a place in Lewisville...I can't recall the actual name but they work prices around your income. It is suppose to be pretty nice according to a friend who looked into this for her mom. She however ended up renting a duplex for her mom in your $850 range and her mom attends the senior center (The Colony) for adult activities. Many of the communities around the suburbs have some nice senior activity centers especially Farmers Branch.

Check out the "Gatewood Senior Community" located at 75 & NW Highway and Country Lane Seniors Community in McKinney.

All the following are all 55+ lifestyle Living

Providence Towers on Mockingbird in Dallas
The Bristol @ Buckingham in Richardson have the 1 bedroom at $825
Treemont Retirement Community on Harvest Hill in Dallas starts at $900

The cheapest in Plano is Evergreen At Plano on Independence, they have rooms for $700 to 850.

When I checked out Evergreen it was way more than that price range. That was last year though and I guess prices could of gone down.It is nice though.

Harvest Hill area is not necessarily an area I would want my parents in. Mockingbird would also concern me as the traffic is notrocious in that area.
