Is it safe to walk from West end station to Reunion tower and back after dark? My dad is coming to visit and I would like to take him to Reunion Tower to see the views both in daytime and nighttime. I know parking is a hassle as is driving down town. I thought it might be fun to do the Dart rail (which we have done many times to downtown.) I just am not sure how the area would be between the West End station and Reunion tower. I know Union station is half a mile ( or less) closer but that would require a transfer to a different light rail which would take just as long as walking from West end.

Several DART lines run thru Union Station, where there is a major stop/station. There is an underground walkway that connects from there to the Reunion complex.

Why would you have to transfer? The Blue and Red Lines from West End are literally one stop away from Union Station. Reunion Tower is a 5 minute walk from there. We're talking less than 10 minutes.

It's safe. Just be aware of your surroundings. West End has increased the police presence so you'll most likely be fine.
