I have seen great reviews of this complex but read that the surrounding neighborhood is crappy. Should we avoid this place?

Woodmeadow has been rough since the 1990s. Drugs, prostitution, etc. You do not want to live there.

My husband will be working in downtown Dallas. We are hoping to stay under $1200 for a 2-bedroom.

Lewisville is too far to commute daily to downtown Dallas. You need to stay in Dallas County to avoid a long commute.
