My wife is being relocated to the EDS office on Legacy Drive in PLano. I guess that is considered west Plano. We are in our mid 40's and have no children at home. Can anyone recommend any nice neighborhoods with homes in the $300k to $350k range? We are hoping to find something within a 20 - 30 minute commute of EDS.

Just live in West Plano and you will be good to go. Commute would be alot shorter than 20-30 minutes and thats a great area to live.

Default Re:

No kids? You might want to consider the Legacy neighborhood, located on Legacy and the N. Dallas Tollway. Lots of very nice townhouses and a cool faux-urban vibe.

If you want to go with the traditional house, you have hundreds to choose from in your price range in the immediate neighborhood of EDS. To be precise, there are 40 houses in your price range within 3 miles of EDS, and 117 within 5 miles.

I agree with the previous poster. There is no reason for you not to live right around the corner from your wife's office.

I know of many NEW homes in that EDS area that are nice. Builders have an abundance of inventory and you can get quite a good deal now!
