Hello I have to rent this summer in the Dallas area, June -August. Specifically in the area of the Knox Henderson neighborhood. I will have 3 young kids with me. I am coming from NJ and do not know anything about the area. I would like to get opinions on the best area to rent with small kids (pools, parks, grocery, library). Ideally, I would like to find an area that I can walk to all these things with the kids or have them be in close proximity. I rented last summer in Austin in a planned community with all these amenities and it worked out well. Trying to find the same thing in the Dallas area. I don't mind driving into the Knox Henderson area but would like to keep the commute under 30 minutes if possible. Thank you.

Highland Park has nice parks and is very family friendly.... right there next to Knox Henderson. Prices may be prohibitive. Also right in the area is the “M Streets” in zip code 75206, it is also very family friendly and a short walk to the DART rail station on Mockingbird.
