Just FYI, the city of Dallas will not be holding property tax hearings in person if you chose to protest due to COVID-19. I called them today because when I went to inquire about my taxes the door was locked at the Dallas Appraisal building off of Stemmons Highway. The lady on the phone told me if you chose to request a hearing to dispute your property taxes it will be over the phone with the people who hold the hearings. Your hearing date will be sent to your Dallas property tax profile online and through which ever email address you provided. So make sure you upload photos or any evidence to fight your case on their website.

Full 10% here in Collin County. I only wish the county would buy my home for the amount they appraised it at. Absolutely no rhyme or reason to their methodology, but what else is new. Another year, another protest.

Family member had one go up by 20k.

Would normally be easily fightable (house values in there neighbhorhood where slightly down from 2018) but the city made most of the increase "land value increase" which is harder to dispute

Shocker, house values stagnate but the city/county doesn't like that so they increase the land value by over 40%

Mine went up 10.3% - insane. Wilshire Heights. I protested online and they offered me 3.4% off - I said no.
