We are new to the state (living in Prosper, tx..near Mckinney and Frisco north of Dallas). We are wanting to have an inground pool put in and I have two bids so far. Both have told me to be leary of others. There are soooo many dealers out there that I would rather hear from someone who is happy with a pool builder, or unhappy. Who should I consider and who should I run from? Thank you!

Default pool builder

we went with Hobert Pools for our custom inground in Frisco. while we love our pool and the way it turned out, there are several small things that keep me from recommending them.

1. they told us it would be about 45 days from start to finish. it took 3.5 months.

2. the scheduler sucked...plain and simple. he never kept us informed, and hardly returned our calls. although we very much liked our design guy.

3. we've had several thing that never quite worked right like the GFIC (?) outlet and switch. our pool light doesn't work, probably because of the broken outlet.

4. we failed our inspection 3 times before everything was correct.

5. it took them over a year to finally get somebody out to do our final inspection.

6. we had to MAKE them come back out and reconnect our sprinklers.

7. we've had 2 different pool service people tell us that Hobert did a half-fast job on some of the stuff like drainage.
