As someone who was born and raised in DFW I feel like it’s changed so much. I feel like it went from simplicity to chaos. I took a trip to Fort Worth and quickly wanted to leave. Felt very snooty and no one acknowledges or makes eye contact with you there.

Every neighbor I talk to is not even from Texas. The traffic is crazy now. I’m glad I don’t have to travel far for work. If the climate change map is accurate there’s no way Texas will be comfortable temp wise. Is anybody who has lived here for a long time seen this weird energy shift?

I know there are a lot of positives too, but when the foundation has changed and you start to feel like a stranger in your own area that’s another thing.

Fort Worth snooty? Where did you go? I now live in Fort Worth and I haven't had that problem.

I can’t imagine where in FW you went that was “snooty”.

To answer your big question, well duh. Did you just wake up this week and realize that 2.5 million people have moved here from elsewhere in the last 20 years?!

That's a first, FW snooty. Dallas yes. Yes it has changed. Houses, shopping centers, apartments everywhere . Traffic is horrendous and then there is crime. All different than 20+ yrs ago.

Another drama thread because things have changed in the last 20+ years. You cannot turn back time. You can live in the past though.

Besides the proposal its also logical given all the houses being constructed and trees being planted!
Traffic will get progressively worst but if rapid transport is introduced in earnest as a real life alternative to automobiles I think Dallas and its suburbs can only get better!

Yes, it's changed. I was born and raised in Dallas. The 90's were the greatest in my opinion. Nothing we can do about it though, it's never going back. I just hope we don't run out of natural resources, that's my biggest concern.

World has changed and we need to change with it to adapt. Are you yourself not snooty, acknowledge others, make eye contact and not judge people about how they "chose" not be even born here? Be the change you want to see, be more friendly and you'll encounter friendlier people.

You are the one that is coming off as being snooty and entitled. So what if not every one of your neighbors are from Texas?

I was born and raised in DFW and while things have definitely changed, that is not unique to DFW. There are dozens of other states and cities that have grown and changed. That's just the nature of time passing.
