Good day everyone,

I hope to move to the Dallas - Fort Worth area within the next year or so. I am a software engineer/developer who is cleared, so I hope to get a job with a defense contractor. If your organization is looking for someone with 20+ years of experience, with some hardware background, please feel free to contact me!

Appreciate the help. Thank you!

Plenty of defense contractors here.
Lockhead is huge in Fort Worth.
Raytheon in McKinney and Grand Prairie

L3 Harris
Boing
Northrop
Bell Helicopter
Rockwell Collins
CAE
BAE
General Dynamics
Textron

and probably a whole host of other smaller companies.
If you're programming software, I'll bet there are plenty of remote work as well.

Why on earth do you want to move here?

If it's for job opportunities, that's a huge mistake. It's a super, super competitive field with a very high barrier to entry, extremely difficult to land such a job, especially with a big company like that. My suggestion is to look anywhere you are willing and able to live. THEN plan your move there.
