Does anyone know of any programs for the kids during winter break? I live in Rockwall County. I don't mind traveling a bit.

A weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in grapevine might be fun...

Waterparks & More | Great Wolf Resorts

Or for outdoor things, there are cabins by Possum Kingdom Lake, west of Fort Worth, horseback riding, hickings etc...

Moderator cut: orphaned

Might check w/ the local YMCA and see if they have anything. Most places don't have much going on during that time since the kids are only out of school for about 2 weeks and parents are off during some of it. The Y might have something small going on. Depending on the age of the kids the local library might have some reading story times going on. Church programs for Christmas specials are going to be pretty well wrapped up by the 20th of December or so.

A few other places to check would be SMU in Dallas (they have a few camps for kids) and the Science Museum in Dallas at Fair Park.

To keep the kids entertained at Great Wolf Lodge is EXPENSIVE! We just had a birthday party there for the youngest and her friends. They hit you every time you turn around for money. Worse than Disney World.

ASI Gymnastics has winter break camps from either 8am to 1pm or 1pm to 6pm for only $20. We just did their Thanksgiving camp.

Studio Arts has holiday art camps on the 22nd only.

Museum of Nature and Science (Science Place in Fair Park) used to have winter break camps.

Forgot about ASI. There is one in Rockwall on Hwy 66 just before the bridge to go over into Rowlett.
