I have read several negative posts about various home builders in Frisco, Grand Homes, etc...I would like to know who is happy and would recommend their home builder in Frisco. Thanks in advance for your input.

Depends on your price range but my top 4 production builders are Highland, Drees, Darling & American Legend. Highland also builds as Huntington & Horizon homes in different price levels and they are both good.

Of my bottom 3 builders, Grand Homes is the winner.

Price point is key when you are asking for a recommendation. More info please.

I would like to stay under 275k and for the home to be no smaller than 2800 sq feet. If there are well respected home builders in surrounding areas, Allen, Mckinney, wylie, I would possible consider that as well. Thanks for all your responses...

I'd also recommend David Weekly. I like how they handle the water system in the house and that they put the water heaters in the garage and not in the attics, cringe.

I have family that built with David Weekley in Pearson Farms, but I believe it will be over your price range. They may have other options in the area though.

For what you are looking for , I would suggest First Texas Homes, Khov and Meritage.

Horizon Homes in McKinney, they are an entry level product for Highland Homes. Excellent quality but of course you just won't get the upgrades that you would in a Highland. American Legend are also building in Mckinney (Frisco ISD).
