Can any experts with experience in the field answer the following questions:

Have home prices dropped in Coppell, Irving, Lewisville and Carrollton area?

If so, how much (average number is OK)?

Have home sales dropped or increased since Jan 09?

Which types of homes are selling and what are people looking for?

Would you predict based on interest rates and other factors if the real estate market is going to get better or worse (I do realize this is a hypothesis and you do not have a crystal ball)

Is this a good time to sell?

Thanks for the information.

All the cities you've mentioned will have the up areas and down areas. Is it a good time to sell? This all depends on what price range your home falls into. Right now I am seeing a lot of homes moving quickly in the $130-170,000 range because of the first time home buyer credit. So, if your home falls within this price range and if you have some updates that stand out verse the rest of the neighborhood then yes you should consider selling. If your home will need some work and you expect to pass that along to the buyer then it is probably best to hold on and wait.

Interest rates from what I am being told will probably go up. They have been holding steady the last couple of weeks right around the 5.5% mark.

I hope this helps!
