I would worry more about skin cancer. Here it's low. CDC - Skin Cancer Rates by State
but it all depends on each person. I have even read here there are people who seem to lay by the pool all the time and working on a tan.

I think in Texas it's so hot, people aren't out as much vs somewhere where it's cooler and people not realizing they still need to use sun screen and outdoors everyday.

Haha

Yep, if you're living in Texas, expect HEAT until mid-October.
We are getting some wonderful rain now, though.

Hey Cupcake! You were thinking 'bout me... I was thinking 'bout you!

I miss the warmth and blue skies... I don't like this weather at all.

It won't last long. Usually our rain spells are short-lived; this is just an exception. I love it and it surely doesn't feel cold to me. Bring on January!!! Sunny skies are great with the colder weather, but I'll take these clouds and rain any day to the horrendous heat we have experienced for many months now. My doggies are so happy too. We actually walked three miles yesterday in the rain, something we cannot do in the heat for fear of one or all of us croaking.

My neighbors (die-hard Texans) are still running their A/C. Go figure. I have my doors and some windows open; it's quite delightful for a late-summer change. The same old weather day in and day out, month after month, gets old mighty fast.

I think it's been quite loverly out. I enjoy the dreary dark gray skies and the rain. It really cheers me up.

You must be a rainy day person! It reminds me of two great classic songs from the '70s.

Stephen Bishop -
"Save It For A Rainy Day"

Gordon Lightfoot - "
Rainy Day People"
