I don't want anything that has a club atmosphere like say a Club Blue or DMX or any of that nature. Something kind of laid back.

Also, when referring to Lower and Upper Greenville, is it where Mockingbird intersects with it and on that side it's Upper and the other is Lower? And is their any distinction between the 2?

Thanks.
I love Lower Greenville, one of my favorite bars is Hurricane Grill http://hurricane-grill.com/, they have live music during the week. They have a patio and whether you sit outside or in the place is always alive. My other favorite bar is Libertine http://www.libertinebar.com/, the place reminds me of bars in Chicago, they have a wide selection of beers and on Sunday their entire menu is 50% off after 5p. For not so casual dining I love Gloria's https://gloriasrestaurants.com/hphour-greenville.php, they just expanded the restaurant, the inside decor is cool but I prefer to sit outside. Go during happy hour and their House Margaritas and Sangria are only $3.00. If your a beer person, like I am, imports are only $3.50, can't beat that.

Thanks so much for the information! We are heading out there tomorrow. Looks like a lot of good places down there from this list and looking around. Now about this area, is the crime anything like Deep Ellum was back in the day or has everything in close proximity to the Downtown/Uptown area been cleaned up? I mean I know when you have late nights, drunk people and big crowds, stuff is bound to happen. I don't mind fights and stuff but I don't want to be in the middle of feuding groups who start having shootouts and you have to run for cover. Been through that in Deep Ellum time to time and at other various clubs. Not looking for that anymore.

I know incidents happen that aren't predicted and you never know what will happen but is that area known for it on a regular basis?
