Currently, Flower Mound High and Marcus High in Flower Mound are both 9th-12th grade schools. Lewisville High has a 9th grade center and the High school is 10-12th.

It's Carroll (Southlake) ISD that has the same configuration as Plano. 9-10th in one school and 11-12th in senior high.

I was under the impression Flower Mound was going to split in a year or so, I guess I got it wrong...I knew about Lewisville.

No, you're right. They are talking about it for Flower Mound and Marcus. It's just not in place, yet. The buildings aren't built. And actually I don't know if they are 9th grade centers for each school or 9-10th grade.

I'm not a fan of the split high schools. Just realized this year that the kids at the high schools for 9th & 10th in the districts that do that don't get the same involvement for high school that a normal high schooler would. My 9th grader is in the band and goes to all of the games and such. The school spirit is really cool and how involved it is. They get to meet kids that are older and that helps a lot when they are discussing courses, classes, ins and outs of the different programs and such. I know that my own 9th grader has benefited from that fact alone.
