My son has finally decided and is buying a new house in Little Elm, the new Landon area off Panther Creek (I think that the name). I like older areas so I was loooking at Oak Point. Is that a good area? Does the lake flood? Any info appreciated!

Oak Point is a bunch of new construction right now. Many larger, more expensive homes, along with smaller less expensive homes. It's WAAAAYYYYY out there, but if commute is not an issue, it is pretty with lots of trees.

Only commute I worry about is to see the grandkids! Thanks.

I don't think it would be much of a commute to see your grandkids if they're in Panther Creek. You could either take 720 (Eldorado) straight into Little Elm, or 380 east to 423, depending on which end of Oak Point you're in.
Oak Point seems pretty nice to me. I'm in Paloma Creek south and love the whole area. Away from the crazy traffic, but not too far. Plenty of stuff to do, and it's all close to major roadways.
