Title pretty much sums it up. I see them in a certain type of tree, there is a clump of leaves that is circular and remains "alive," even in this weather.

I am used to seeing "Spanish Moss" which is like hanging cobwebs for lack of a better term, but never what looks like a bush gorwing in a tree. Does anyone know the name and what kind of tree they grow in? Do they eventually drop their leaves too? Is there Spanish Moss in trees here too or is it too cold up here for that?

Yes! I was going to ask you if you've never been kissed under the Mistletoe?

Actually it is a fungus that can kill a tree if not removed and the stem where you cut it sprayed with a sealant like undercoat used on automobiles. So go for it and you will be helping to save a tree.
