Hello
I will be visiting Dallas the week of 2/18 for business.
I checked Weather.com and it looks like the weather has been in the 60's. Is this typical for this time of year or should I plan to pack any winter clothes? I am coming from NJ and it is cold here.
Thanks !!

You might pack a few warm clothes just in case. Weather forecasters don't seem get long-term forecasts correct that much! But...temps in the mid/upper 50's and 60's is pretty much the norm in February, with a few cold periods, of course, since it is still Winter.

Bring a wind breaker... it may not be cold, but with a 20 mph wind it can wisk away all of your body heat.

Like today 71 degrees, sunny and windy. It is a cool wind and gusty at times. Not as strong as we have seen the last few days (whew).

Today is absolutely perfect. Ask again in July or August.

I'm new here and I think it's a little cold during the nights. Usually I'm using jeans or similar and a jacket when we walk the dogs. During the day a couple of trousers and a t-shirt or a sport jacket are enough

(July August...? ARGH!!)

Actually, I like the cold weather. If one doesn't, I would guess that four or five months of great weather as I quoted for the area is too much.

Normal for North Texas in February can mean different things. You can have snow, temps in the 70s (even the 80s), rain, blowing winds, it's hard to tell. If you're coming to visit, and you aren't accustomed to cold, it would be advisable to have a decent coat with you just in case. Keep in mind that it snowed here last April the first. It didn't accumulate, but it did snow.

Only a few years ago we cancelled our Valentine Dinner date due to snow! Don't think that will be a problem this year.
