Does anybody know or have worked with a contemporary/modern custom home builder in North Dallas Area? Most of the custom home builders that we have heard good about have all been on traditional side. Any custom builders in this area with substantial experience with this style?
Thanks,

Thanks,
arthousehomes.com <- I've seen some of these homes around town. Very cool. Don't know anything about the builder, if they're good or not, just like the looks. You might also want to look around on Livemodern.com for builders, they have a message board for Dallas.

Cunningham architects designed of the nicest ultra modern and "Green" home in Lakewood in Dallas last year. They design office buildings too. Here's their site and peruse through their portfolio.

You don't need a builder, you need an architect.

Russell Buchanan, Morrison Seifert Murphy, and Diane Cheatum are probably the three best in town now.
Ron Womack and Bud Ogelsby also.

If you want a true high end custom home, Terry Holmes. If you want a little more lower priced from one of the larger area builders who still does a lot of custom work... Darling Homes

Thanks,
My wife was asking me the same thing recently. One builder I found was www.agaveaustin.com/. They may know of a builder or plans for a similar development in the Dallas area.

Any architect you work with will be able to give you a list of at least 3 builders they have worked with and would recommend.

There's a custom builder in West Plano who is also an architect. I dont know his name but he has built a number of great contemporary homes and I understand he is Iranian. Perhaps the other architect or experts might know his name. My neighbor has a home he built 10 years ago which is a great home.
