Allen ISD? Here are the attendance boundary maps.
Allen Independent School District | Find A School (http://www.allenisd.org/20061061016446870/blank/browse.asp?a=383&BMDRN=2000&BCOB=0&c=55534 - broken link)

And here's where you can type in an address (if you know it) to see what the schools are for that address:

You will want to verify schools at the Allen ISD website as FarNorthDallas has suggested. Allen is in the midst of re-zoning due to growth in west Allen and changes are expected. Here is the proposal;

Currently, the following elementary schools feed into Ereckson:

Boon
Boyd
Norton
Green
Evans
Kerr

Someone told me that Allen ISD is going to build another middle school to ease the load at Ereckson (it currently has over 900 students). Apparently, it is mis-information because I cannot find it on the Allen ISD web site or on the recent proposal (thanks to canuckmom's link).

Maybe they got mixed up with the new elementary school (i.e. Cheatham). But can someone please confirm that?

Thanks.

Default Middle Schools in Allen

There are no current plans to build a new middle school in Allen.

Allen ISD has chosen to ease overcrowding at Ereckson by "realigning" the elementary schools - schools that would have fed into Ereckson, now feed into Curtis Middle School (Cheatham included).

There are also construction plans for all three middle schools including expansion of Curtis and Ereckson middle schools and renovations at Ford.

That is not to say that someday Allen ISD might decide they need an additional middle school (likely on the west side of Allen), but as far as I know that was not part of the lastest bond package which takes the district into 2012.

Then there is the mega Allen high school, but that's a whole other story

Thanks for the clarification, canuckmom.

I agree that eventually, they will have to build one more middle school on the west side. But it will not be soon enough to affect my children. So looks like my kids are staying with Ereckson.

As of the mega high school, I am not very fond of it. I prefer smaller schools with more intimate setting. Mega school setting is not good for the children.

I was told the real reason why we have one high school was because the city wanted to win the state championship and they did not want to dilute the "talent pool". But of course, that is the unspoken reason. It is not the same talking point they officially announced to the residents in Allen. I never bought the "we don't want to create East vs West" excuse.

Now that we have won the state championship, it is just a matter of time that there will be a high school on the west side. It is just inevitable. But again, it is probably not soon enough to affect my children.
