Doe anyone have a plumbing service they would care to recommend? Especially in the Plano/Richardson/Allen area? My brother in law has done our plumbing repairs until now, but he is having a health issue and we don't want to bother him. May need someone new if my husband can't fix. Thanks.

Hi KayKay,

Here is a good contact: Bostick Plumbing - 972-235-6989. They've been doing this for over 50 years in the Richardson area.

Ryan

Thanks for the recommendation, Ryan! I have already scheduled somebody else, but I will keep this one in mind for possible future reference.

I don't even use licensed plumbers for most residential needs. It's much cheaper to have a handy man do the work. You can snake mainlines, fix faucet leaks, install new toilets, garbage disposals....Very low skills needed to do this.

I know this is an older thread, but am looking for a recommendation on a handyman with solid plumbing skills even though no a licensed plumber for more complex matters. Thanks

Steven Hatcher Plumbing has always done me right, Johnhw2, and they may have a journeyman or less-experienced person they can send out. My experience with "handymen with plumbing skills," on the other hand, like what the Homeshield people always send out, almost always results in a followup call to a REAL plumber to "repair the repair."

Thanks, I used Bostick which was recommended a number of years ago and they were good. It was a licensed plumber but a lower rate than my regular licensed plumber.

I used a number of handymen for basic simple plumbing in Houston with zero second call backs. There are some jobs I would never avoid using a licensed plumber but minor jobs they can handle like a homeowner could if so inclined. Thanks for your time to respond, I will keep Hatcher for use as well as Bostick and Mai plumbing, one can not have too many plumbers to call for quick service in an emergency
