What is up with those barely clothed waitresses? Is this common in Dallas? So tacky.

Thanks

I've never been to a grocery store in Dallas that sells liquor.

And they all have like one aisle with beer and wine. It bothers you to walk past that?

I think you have other issues you need to address first.

Geez, why all the hatred?

I was at a gas station today and noticed that they sell X-rated magazines behind the counter. (I thought I was in the 80s for a minute!)

I can easily imagine customers that would take offense to that and choose to patronize a different store. Would you condemn them for that choice? I doubt it. Why is this different?

They know their clientele. But no, that is not common in Dallas. Don't worry your pretty little head.

It only bothers me if the store lays it out to where I have to walk through it to get anywhere. So the Tom Thumb at Preston at Beltline is dry. Awesome I drive by it all the time. I only thought of this because my friend was complaining about not being able to buy it at Sams and I got ridiculously excited. Let's just say she didn't understand like most of the posters on here don't. lol

X rated magaizines are useless when you have the internet.

And I love seeing those barley clothed girls selling beer in the summer. If you dont like it then your either dead or gay.

Welcome to Dallas.

The preachers have determined that liquor is a sin, so you must try and navigate a completely random route to be able to purchase alcohol, and god forbid you want a bottle of whiskey on Sundays or after 9:00PM.

I don't mind it at all I can't stand the taste so I rarely drink.

I could also get a hooker legally from where I'm from.

It's a reflection of the conservative nature of the area. TPTB want Texas to be a totalitarian theocratic dystopia, so the rules reflect the desires of the people of the Dallas area. That's why most of the good restaurants are only in certain parts of town while the majority of the metro area is chain city, USA.
