Hopefully most of you guys are aware of the fact that food trucks park downtown on Courthouse Square every day at lunch time.
If not, here's a couple links on what's going on:

One of these days I am hoping to have enough of a lunch break to try out one of the food trucks that parks on Courthouse Square downtown.
They look good, and eating there looks like a good time.....

So anyone been to the food trucks downtown and have anything they like or do not like?

Kinda frightened at the thought of eating food from a truck with a name like McNasty's, but I guess it's in the spirit of the food truck culture haha.

Good idea for a thread. I'll have to go check it out; I love a good food truck

It's an easier start up that requires less of an investment than a brick and mortar restaurant, so the food can be very creative and the menu/venue is always changing. I think it's an excellent fit for Dayton.

On a kind of similar note, Anthony Bourdain had a good episode on his new show, Parts Unknown, about a food truck in the LA area. Just throwing that out there if anyone's interested.

^That's cool, I will have to check it out!

Well, I went to Courthouse Square and got some food! Unfortunately, though, Zombie Dogs was not there, and I felt more like eating Bourbon Chicken from a stand than the lone food truck (Fresca) it was across from.

Even though I didn't eat at a food truck, the Bourbon Chicken was delicious! I will be back! It gives me a great reason to leave Sinclair for a while and go outside haha.

One suggestion for the event though - the trivia guy was not good, made for a very weird atmosphere. Not a fun one, more like a high-pressure sales environment. If they just played some Top 40 music or something like they do every other day it would have been a much better atmosphere....

Your event comment confused me until I clicked the DDP link, ha. Looks like music for the next 2.5 weeks.

I would have rocked that cornhole tournament back in May, maybe they'll do it again. I knew college was good for something.

Food truck question:

This last Saturday evening I saw a black or dark colored box shaped van (like a UPS truck) with really rough white hand lettering on the side, saying "BBQ", parked in the parking lot of the VFW Post (9927) - 3316 Wilmington Pike - the VFW across from Marshall Road. Who/what would that food truck be? We weren't close enough to make out any identifying facts.

Interesting... that I don't know.

Here's a link to a page of Facebook links: Links to the Facebook pages of the Food Trucks | Dayton Food Trucks

The only one I saw that could be a possibility would be G's Cue BBQ. I have never seen that truck in person.
