I am tempted by a lot of these free offers but does accepting them put your name and address on a bunch of junk mail lists?

Yeah, not nearly as much as I thought it would. And I can kinda track it, because I use a pseudonym for all of these. I also use an email address that's pretty much just for stuff like this. Hasn't been a problem.

Yeah, I have a yahoo email account just for freebies now, thanks to Glory's advice. And I mark everything that comes into it as spam.

Me three.

I use a separate email address for freebies. I've been requesting freebies for over 2 years and I hardly get any spam at all. It's actually surprising.

If you read each one they have to ask you about their partner companies, so no.

I think most of us just keep a separate freebie email. I have an extra gmail just for freebies. I could care less how much spam arrives daily. IF a company is going to need a confirmation on an offer, then I generally will use my regular email, then change my email contact info on their site later. Those are far and few between.

As far as snail mail junk mail, I really don't get near as much as one would think. It only takes a minute to throw it in the trash.....it takes a month for me to use my free hand lotion.

I use the middle initial C (crap, coupon, cool stuff) so when stuff comes in the mail with that initial, I know it came from here.
