I like shandy, though ( btw, do you have shandy here in the US? That's beer + lemonade. Yummy. I always took that whenever I was going to the pub in England)
I learned from my younger days!! The first one taste the best anyway.
To be honest I have to almost force myself to drink the first one....then the rest go down easily enough.
I would prefer a nice Gin and Tonic, but mixed drinks don't agree with me since I've gotten close to my golden years and wine makes my teeth hurt. So, I just enjoy beer a couple of times a month.

When I was in Germany, my ex-exchange student introduced me to what the kids (they can drink beer and wine at 16) drink there.

Scientists at the University of Extremadura in Caceres, Spain, conducted a study involving 1,697 healthy women, 811 of whom were postmenopausal while a further 176 were going through the menopause.

The researchers found that participants who reported drinking beer on a regular basis tended to have greater bone density than those who did not drink beer or who tended to consume wine.
Reporting their findings in Nutrition journal, they suggested that "the greater bone density found in women beer drinkers might be a result of the phytoestrogen content of this alcoholic drink"."
I know hubby thinks it's " useful" when I have a beer!
