Anyone have any information regarding the Village of Bayberry, looking to make a trip from NYC due to a possible relocation an this community looks very nice. How are the schools that service this area? Do you know the commute time to Newark, DE (Christiana). Is it family oriented? Thanks in advance.

I'd say the commute time would be about 30 minutes. You could either hop on Rt 1 up to 273 or take 896 to 95. Rt 1 would probably be best, no traffic lights. The community looks very nice, it is new. It sits off way back from the main road (Boyds Corner) and is away from all of the hustle & bustle...although Middletown is just a few miles away, which is a rapidly growing town. I believe the school district would be Appoquinimink School District. If you search through the threads on here I think you will find a large amount of information on this district. It is considered to be one of the best in the state.

I drive by there almost daily! It is new housing on wide, open farmland with a long range master plan for a sort of mini community. Currently, the road in that area is under construction (until the end of the Summer) to make it wider and include bike lanes. There is an office at the location that is open daily. It appears that townhomes are being built at this time. I would say that you are 20-30 minutes from Newark and about 15 minutes from the shopping areas in Middletown. The school system is Appoquinimink, however I am unsure of the actual feeder pattern.
