Woodland Heights is a good deal. Mid-20th century homes, majority european-american, good little park within the neighborhood for kids, lots of firefighters and cops. The area surrounding it, to me, is a little boring.. a cheap shopping center, Ferris Juvenile Center (no effect on the neighborhood) and Centreville Rd to the south.

It's one of Wilmington's older, less spectacular suburbs, but is in no way bad or high crime or something to be concerned about. I'd move there for a good deal on a house.

Edit:

Just to let you know, the only thing to be concerned with is that there is a less than sparkling apartment community on 141 on the back side of Woodland Heights. Even that apartment complex isn't hell on Earth, but the neighborhood itself is basically an old DuPont bedroom. DuPont workers used to dominate the neighborhood, and it's mainly a safe, humble, quiet old suburban development with two-story ranch houses.

Are you employed in Delaware or will you be commuting to PA?
What is your Price range?
Do you have school age children?

To answer your question, there could be areas of the 19805
zip code, that some might consider iffy. I'm not familiar with
the [I'll assume its a sub-division] community you mentioned.
I'll try to be as helpful and honest as possible, but you know
opinions vary.
