Hi,

I have a dental implant in past week. It is better to have an implant with an oral surgeon. Before my implant I visited my local dentist, he suggested me an implant dentist in my local region from there I did my implant.

So, an oral surgeon is the best option to have a teeth implant.

Some dentists are specifically trained and experienced to do implants - I had implants done by my dentist who has 20 years of implant experience. I would say, however, that many if not most regular dentists do not, and will refer you to an oral surgeon or periodontist to do implants.

Oral Surgeon means very expensive. They will do the best job done however if you have simple case, go with experienced dentist. You can recognize them by certificates on the wall of their office. Or ask around dental implant manufacturers. Call and ask them if someone around you.

I would go for the oral surgeon, because i am a very cautious person and above all I have about some incidents happened to my relatives that how a regular dentist made their situation worst as they were not that much efficient in doing an implant as compare to an oral surgeon.
