Never went to dentist. I asked my neighbor who is a nurse, she said it's fine and normal swelling/inflammation and to take ibuprofen. She said I should be worried if it doesn't go back to normal after 1 week, but ~3 days after extraction it's fine.
If it is infected as you say, then I should be taking something like amoxicillin and also have a fever
Call your oral surgeon today so you can be seen ASAP.
It looks like pericoronitis.
Pericoronitis, by definition, is inflamed tissue around a tooth. This tooth is no longer present. Be very careful of advice on the interwebs.

And no I didn't pay my dentist for this. If I go back to him (as you recommend), then I'll need to pay him (again might I add). They don't do free check-ins, you pay for time
Are you absolutely positive about this?? If so, you need to find a new dentist. I am an oral surgeon that removes multiple wisdom teeth almost every day. I (and almost all dentists) will see my post-operative patients for any follow-up and concerns they have with no additional charge. This includes ANY procedures needed such as incision and drainage for infections (rare) and closure of sinus fistulas (almost as rare) which can take a significant portion of my day. I am not the cheapest guy, but patients are not "buying" a tooth removal procedure. They are buying my ability to get them to an endpoint of being healed, regardless of what that requires me to do. For questions or concerns like this, all patients have my cell phone number. Not an answering service, but the same number my wife calls me on, and I tell them to call me anytime 24/7 so they don't have to resort to well-meaning yet ill-informed folks on an internet forum. This also gives me extra incentive to make sure I do my best and minimize any post-operative problems.

100% sure, last 2x I went back to my dentist for a followup because I thought I had an infection or something was wrong, I was charged. You are a good one!

Are you going to a private office or is it some low-income/cost clinic? Do you have an HMO plan?

That's not the way I have ever heard of it done.
I also would like to know what kind of practitioner this is.
Have you tried tea bags? Use black tea, like Lipton, wet the bag, and bite down on it. That's what my dentist recommended....
