Hello! I'm looking for some advice. My husband is being relocated to Colorado from Seattle. We're unsure where exactly at this time but it will be a suburb of Denver. Fortunately, the company I work for has an office in Golden so at least I won't have to look for something new! So far, I've seen that Arvada and Littleton are great places to live. What do you think? We'll be renting for the first year. We're looking for a place that has good walking areas and a great neighborhood bar. Any suggestions?

Hi Erin,

I moved from north of Seattle 12 years ago and love Colorado, so hopefully you will too!

The western suburbs of Denver offer easy access to trails, parks, and the foothills. In addition to the areas mentioned, you might like the Highlands, Berkley, and Sloans Lake neighborhoods in NW Denver - older homes, well established parks (with trees!), and popular bars and restaurants. The commute to Golden would be about 15 minutes.

You might also want to consider neighborhoods around Green Mountain in Lakewood, or maybe even the town of Morrison for rental homes that might get you more sq ft for the rental dollar.

Lots of options for you - good luck!
