It depends on where in Parker you are. I have a few friends in Parker - one's subdivision is close to the center of town and therefore most amenities, and the other's subdivision is in the new Chambers Rd area and feels like it's way out there.

I agree with the Parker road intimidation factor. People drive on it like it's a freeway, and I'm always afraid I'm going to have to slam on the brakes with a sudden light change.

I think if you want to move to Parker then go for it, but you will want to take into account where in the town you move to. Like I said, how long it takes to get places and how completely car-dependent you have to be will depend on where in Parker you go.

It depends what part, I was referring the Pinery area. Everything was too far away, I am out and about all the time and I didn't want to be bothered having to drive father than I normaly do. I also didn't want to deal with Parker road, but I really did love this one house out there and thought it might be worth the sacrifice.
