Speaking of perspective, I appreciate this part of her post. I should have included this in post #40.

The last time the Detroit Lions won an NFL championship was in 1957. Fifty four years is a long time. I would have to look up the stats regarding game blackouts in the Detroit area, but I think it would be a safe bet that every year you would have a few games that weren't televised, possibly several games.

There might be blackouts but you wouldn't see the rows and rows and rows of empty seats in Ford Stadium, the Pontiac Silverdome, or for that matter Tigers Stadium (formerly known as Briggs Stadium) as you have been seeing in Jacksonville, Oakland, and I hate to admit this, also San Diego. I've been in Jack Murphy Stadium several times over the years, I know. (Yes, I know it's Qualcomm-I'm in an old school mood tonight!) The people of Detroit supports the Lions!

I'm a Cubs fan, I understand everything there is about not winning championships.

Default Manning working out with San Francisco

Manning working out with San Francisco

The most logical choice for Manning. Honestly. They were one boneheaded fumble away from the Superbowl. If they could go that far with Alex Smith, who averaged less than 200 yards passing a game, imagine what they could do with Manning.

Per ESPN:

Peyton Manning will become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, barring a snag during intensified contract negotiations that have commenced under the instruction of the four-time MVP to his agent Tom Condon, according to multiple sources.
Once the Manning deal becomes official, Denver will try to trade Tim Tebow, according to sources.

The Broncos are a joke. What happens when Denver fails to get any farther in the playoffs than Tebow got them? Do we get to trade Elway? I'm a lifelong Bronocos fan but the team's treatment of Tim Tebow has really alienated me--and, I suspect, that's probably true of many, many other Broncos fans.

PLEASE Manning. I'm so sick of hearing about Tebow every single day by the Denver News. A mediocre player who is a media darling. pfft.

Not funny.

Just kidding. I am a Bolts fan but I am excited to see Manning to come to town. Can't wait for the Charger game this year.

I can see Tebow getting traded to Jacksonville.
