Hipsters need a dressing lesson, but are pretty harmless and keep the big box stores down, so I like them.

This might be the funniest post I've seen on these forums.

Anyways, there's several things wrong with that list (I guess Brooklyn is SO passé now), but cool to see Denver make the list. Say what you want about hipsters, but you know a city is doing something right if it's the kind of place that hipsters want to be at.

You mean that Grand Junction didn't make the list? Cosmic is going to be bummed.

Doesn't surprise me. And if you are going to be on a list, being #10 is indeed the most hipsterish of all. (The absolute coolest is to *not* yet be on the list, so Cosmic can rest easy.)

Denver as hipster destination is not as established (read: mainstream) as Seattle or Austin, but well on the way.
Young people are either flocking to Colorado, or wishing they could do so.
But I am thinking that real hipsters could not afford to live in Highlands unless they are still receiving checks from their parents.

Actually, while there are a few omissions, none of the cities on the list surprise me except San Juan. I've been there and it was a nice place, but did not seem hipsterish, however this was some years ago.

heh
My husband's former office was on Blake Street back in the 80's. It was an interesting mix of bohemia, bums, and yuppies.

Denver is on the list it said though because of all of the microbreweries, I fail to see how that is "hipster"?
