Does anyone here already volunteer or know someone that does at the DAM? I've been thinking about it for a while as I'm already a member but their customer service leaves a teensy bit to be desired so I'm not sure I want to work there as well as visit and dine. Any feedback about volunteering most appreciated.

My husband and I have volunteered at the museum for about 2.5 years and enjoy it. Most of the volunteers and visitors are great as is our staff liaison. The DAM's volunteer program is organized by councils. (Shop, Guest Services, Flower and Education). We volunteer with the Guest Services Council. We greet visitors, hand out maps and answer questions; knowing where the bathrooms are is key.
We volunteer twice a month. With guest services, you can pick your shifts from month to month. The other councils follow a more structured schedule. If you have specific questions, feel free to post or DM me.
