Hi,

I'm 28 and just went on my first date a few months ago. Since then the girl and I have gotten much closer. This is an exciting time in my life.

Anyway, she's visiting soon and we're planning on going out to eat at a nice restaurant on Friday. I really want to make it good night for her, and make it a memorable experience overall for both of us. I would say atmosphere and cleanliness are important. I wanted to take her to Linger but then I found out it no longer has a view of downtown. I would prefer to leave the restaurant without paying more than $70 with tip. Neither of us drink so that would not be included in the price.

Some places I have thought of are Root Down and Euclid Hall. But I am looking for something with more ambience.

Any recommendations would be appreciated

I'm not a regular diner in Denver, but one place that might fit the bill is McCormicks Fish House in LODO at 1659 Wazee St.

In addition to the usual restaurant, there's a bar area where one can get a meal but the bar is done in Art Deco style like a cruise ship from the 1930s. Really a cool place and you can get out for $70 w/out alcohol. We've eaten here a few times and always liked it; I assume the cruise room is still there.

Two restaurants that my husband and I like to go to downtown are Vista Dipping Grill and Café Colore. Vista Dipping Grill has great food and a very cool vibe. Café Colore is in Denver's LoDo area, has outdoor seating, great Italian food and fun people watching. All the best!

Thanks guys. I'll check those out. I was also thinking of going up to Boulder to Brasserie Ten Ten. I've lived in Denver for 4 years and have never done anything in Boulder.

Second vote for z-cuisine. Very intimate and romantic. Great menu too. One of the hidden gems in the highlands.

Really like what I see from z-cuisine. Maybe I'll make the reservation tomorrow.
